On February 13th, CPA President Tony Cannavino sent this letter to the Correctional Service of Canada Commissioner Keith Coulter asking him what steps he is taking to appeal a court decision to consider a murderer's rights over those of his victims'. President Cannavino, CPA Executive Officer David Griffin and OPPA President Karl Walsh subsequently (February 14th) met with Commissioner Keith Coulter to discuss this important issue.
We are asking for your support to ensure that victims' rights no longer take a back seat to those of criminals. Attached is the recent OPPA News Release on the Allan MacDonald case.
Please support us by signing an online petition to rectify this injustice for all members throughout Canada. Visit www.oppa.ca to get more information of the issue and sign the online petition.
